Over the last 50 years, KDV has built a model of efficiency and service manufacturing flexo-printed labels. The Wisconsin label converter has successfully translated these core differentiators to high-speed digital printing with installation of a Durst Tau RSCi digital press.

KDV’s Durst Tau RSCi is a 17″, UV inkjet printer designed for mid- to long-run jobs. Additionally, KDV sees the opportunity to run short-run jobs more economically. The workhorse machine is equipped with a chill roller and jumbo winders to sustain quality at high speeds.

This evaluation included rigorous testing to ensure customer expectations would be met, if not exceeded, in every factor from lead time to color-matching to pricing. 

KDV says the Tau RSCi was the clear leader with 1200 dpi print quality, up to 262 fpm speed, and added features to guarantee exceptional labels every time in the most economical way. Durst’s service and support team was another deciding factor.
